Ignacio Reyes is my hatter in Mexico City. He cleans, reblocks, conforms, and repairs my hats. I am with him right now, picking up six hats and leaving seven.Hey Max,
For the uninitiated (me), who is Ignacio? I've noticed you mention him a lot.
Also, I've gotta ask. How many hats do you own and where do you store them all?!?

I have about 350 hats. You can see them all in my instagram page, max.tejeda2018.
The pile of hats is the one I am leaving.

I have four "hat safes". They are really metal closets. I had them built to my specifications.
The latest one I ordered is so big it had to be assembled inside my home office. The smallest one is the one in my bedroom. I keep my most expensive hats in it.

Max, I'm at a loss for words. This is amazing! Pretty confident you could get into the Guinness Book of World Records for largest private fedora collection! Think about it.I just got the Lounge back on Tapatalk, so I can finish my reply, RetroStyle.

Ha. I have still a way to go to match some other Loungers. Alan, Eric, Daniele, Steven, Stefan, Bowen, etc. They all have amazing collections. My favorite is Alan's, but you can choose any of them over mine. I cannot imagine ever knowing as much about hats as they do.Max, I'm at a loss for words. This is amazing! Well, if your safes ever get too crowded, I accept 7 3/8 donations! Haha

Ah! Yes, RLK! He hasn't posted in a looong time. You forgot to mention RLK. He has the largest collection to date. To think I was around before all of the members you mentioned. This place has definitely seen some changes. Others in the amazing collection bracket include Marc Chevalier, Douglas (Charles Durning's son), HarpplayerGene, Jimmy the Lid, Dinerman, Joshbru3, Zetwal, Baron Kurtz, Lefty, Ofcoursemyhorse, splintercellsz, carouselvic, sharpetoys. The list goes on and on and on and on (Journey fans, yes I said it).
My first white MacLachlan. It is too small for me, but I just had to buy it to have in my collection. View attachment 188365 View attachment 188366 View attachment 188367 View attachment 188368 View attachment 188369

You wouldn't be able to tell from the pics, but rumour has it he has bought himself a tropical island thanks to Max's patronageIgnacio Reyes is my hatter in Mexico City. He cleans, reblocks, conforms, and repairs my hats. I am with him right now, picking up six hats and leaving seven.

RLK's collection never ceased to amaze me. It seemed that for every hat that was posted he could show two or three other and usually better examples. Very educational and so much fun seeing all of his hats. I wonder if he's still collecting. I believe I read here recently Dinerman stopped collecting and sold off most of his hats. He's active on Ebay though. Inspirations, all of them. You forgot to mention RLK. He has the largest collection to date. To think I was around before all of the members you mentioned. Good catch, Hagwood. For $28 you could buy those all day!I posted this on the New Hats thread, but thought I would post it here too since it's a Goodwill find.
Stetson 7XCB for $28 ! Thanks to Randy @ RMCCAMEY for the tip !
It's in perfect condition after some cleaning and re-shaping. Just a quick bash for now after I looked at this morning before work after it dried good:
