Red Carpet Blunders
Well, I must say, I really expected better from Daniel-Day Lewis. I'm really not sure what to think about that ensemble. I'm all about infusing some color, but he's got it in all the wrong places. Michael Moore looks like he got hooked up at Men's Wearhouse. I thought he recently lost a bunch of weight? I don't really care for the Western style ties (not sure the name, see Johnny Depp) either.
Of course, we must try to concentrate on the positive. George Clooney, as usual, looks right at home in a tuxedo. I really like the shawl collar on him. Forrest Whitaker looks like he's in a very well-tailored tux, it suits his frame well. And finally, Paul Dano's tuxedo is suiting to his frame, and I like the placement of the pockets and the overall cut. And I agree, the darts really stand out.
It seems like I'm noticing more bow ties this year. That's a good sign. Maybe more peak lapels next year?
