Hi folks~
I've never ordered anything from a site online that didn't show the little padlock security symbol at the bottom of my screne. www.midwestcasecompany.com is the site. Is anyone familiar with this site, or can you tell me if the little padlock emblem is all that important? Thanks!
Nikki

I'm no expert, but that would worry me. Maybe you can place a phone order? If there's no phone number listed, I'd email them for it.

I went through the process up to the point where you enter a card #, and the URL remained the same in that it never designated a secure connection (httpS).

Looks like a legit company, but a call would be safer.

It look as if they are not running it on a secure server and in the UK the bank would not be very happy with that at all.
In short there running the site on the cheep. . and thus is open to possible problems like been hacked.

Thank you everyone! I thought it seemed a bit fishy~
we went as far as we could on the check out and I felt the same way. I just didn't know if I was being over-protective!
Paul, I thought that they were probably being cheap too. It's a shame. My hubby really wants an item from there. Maybe I can super slueth and find it somewhere else.. but it's a discontinued item!

You could possibly ask for an email address for them and pay by sending money thru PayPal. That way they would not have access to your card info.
For sure always look for the https as the s means secure anytime any personal info comes forth.
The site shows they also have another url but it looks the same with no lock. I found it by looking at their about us.

I see that they have this posted down at the bottom of the checkout page below the area where you enter your name and address. I didn't go any farther into the process though. It may be worth a phone call.
