Oranges and the vitamin-C complex

I'm 31 and meawhile, I really think, it's not a bad thing, two eat two oranges, every day. I'm doing this.

I mean, even today, no one knows exactly, how important oranges with their vitamin-complex are. It's seemingly not finally proven. But, I don't think, that it's a placebo-effect. But, I'm not dealing with the synthetic vitamin C-effervescent tablets and so on. That's just synthetic ascorbic-acid and I prefer the original stuff from mother nature with the complete vitamin-complex.

I will go further, with my daily oranges. Two pieces satisfy the daily need of vitamin C-complex of a human.

So, let us see, what the future will bring.

It is well accepted today that vitamin C is necessary for health, and we often don't get enough especially in cold and flu season. What most people don't know, is that vitamin C taken as fresh vegetables and fruit, is 4X or 5X more effective than taken by itself.

Years ago I saw an interview with Albert Szent Georgi who discovered vitamin c, he said "vitamin c does not work by itself, there are co factors involved. I can't tell you what they are but you will find them in there *points to a bowl of fruit* you won't find them in there *points to a tray of pastries*. This has been proven true by recent research,

So you are probably right to eat your oranges or take your orange juice fresh squeezed each day. More fresh fruit, raw vegetables and salad, and even old fashioned saurkraut all to the good.

Another study came out a few years ago that indicated we don't get enough vitamin D especially in northern climates. Those who take 1000mg per day of vitamin D develop 30% less cancer than those who don't. Now I take vitamin C and vitamin D every day along with a few other supplements.

When I was about your age I noticed I did not heal up as well as I used to. If I got a cut, scrape or burn it would stay red and angry looking for a long time before it healed. So I started taking vitamin c, 200mg per day. In 3 weeks I was healing up as well as when I was a boy. Since then I have continued to take it, and increased to 500 then 1000mg per day. When very ill with pneumonia I took up to 50000mg per day, that is 5 heaping teaspoons of pure ascorbic acid powder every day. There is no doubt that vitamin c is necessary to maintain health and combat disease. The amount may vary with the individual. Luckily it is completely non toxic so there is no harm in taking a little extra.

Yes, the topic with the lack of vitamin D3 is very important, too. :)
The topic is luckily actual coming up, here in Germany. The lack of vitamin D3 seems now to be fact. We all got it. And, of course, there are often no real summers, today.

But I think, it should not be dramatized. Surely, there are some people with an dangerous lack of vitamin D3, but I think, at the most people, the lack isn't that dangerous. I think, there is no need for general panic.

A number of years ago I started doing a blood test that analyzed a patients nutritional needs, the company then compounded a vitamin, amino acid, mineral specifically for you. Immediately, I stopped getting sinus infections and have had maybe two in a decade where two a year had been common. No doubt it has had other, harder to identify benefits. Expensive but less than the antibiotics that used to go with the infections. Pretty impressive.
