On "JUSTIFIED"'s finale, Raylan got a new fedora. What was That Thing on the brim?

On "JUSTIFIED"'s last episode, Raylan shot Boon, then he took Boon's new dark Fedora.

What was That Little White Plastic-Looking Thing on the right front edge of the dark Fedora's brim?

It is a Nick Fouquet made hat and I think it is one of the number tags that he usually puts on the ribbon.

I did not say anything about a size tag. I was referencing the type tag as seen here.

But after researching and finding the above photo. I can see that the object on the Raylan hat is something
else that Fouquet has placed on the brim. [probably stitching]

Yeah. I think it's a little gold clip. Looks cool though.

It looks as though they are going to tap a non-Raylan Givens Elmore Leonard novel, "City Primevil," probably inserting Givens's character for the Detroit detective in the novel. I've plowed through pretty much everything Leonard has written, but this one doesn't ring any bells for some reason.

Using Leonard's work as the jumping off point is encouraging; the show will hopefully have some of the same "feel" as his books. Justified's early episodes freely used some scened from various Leonard novels and stories to give it that Elmore Leonard touch. I'm happy it seems as though that will continue.

Doesent matter what hat he is wearing to me. I look forward to more of the character. The green hat was nice. The little metal thing looks very familiar to me. Like a tag from a roll of fabric from the factory. Use a clamp to put them on and another clamp to remove it without damaging the fabric. Little barbs hold it in place. Think of the Australians that put cattle tags on the brim of their hats. The plastic ones.
