I was looking at this hat and it appears at one time whom ever was wearing it, came under fire from a shotgun...(just teasing ya). If it was any other color, I would be on it, but have too many grey and brown and black hats now. I have to find a clean cream colored hat, or have one made custom.

How many pellets in a shotgun shell? Only two seem to have made contact. That's either bad aim or respect for vintage hats.

Thanks for looking anyhow. This'll make someone a fine daily wearer. If it weren't just a tad snug on me, I'd keep it.

I hear you, I am still seeking a 7 1/2 as I am in between a 7 2/3 and 7 1/2 but want something Silver Belly. The one OR I have now, is sort of a light tan, and it has some issues, needs to be cleaned and that hat band was toast. Overall I am happy with it. If I can't clean it enough with some Bickmore cleaner, it goes to Drew at clean a hat. Good luck with your sale.

I'm watching the auction - I've got a current production OR that I like, but I'm searching for a vintage that I can reshape the crown.

How's the felt on your hat, is it hard cardboardy stuff like the new hats, or is it softer and more flexable?

I am SEVERELY tempted.

It's very nice felt, not stiff and stubborn at all. And depending on how you crease it, the 2 faint spots can be hidden. As of now, 33 other people have it on watch also.
