Oldest Hat Shops in the US

I hope you realize my tongue was planted firmly in my cheek when I wrote that. It's disappointing to find out from Mr. Miller he's no longer making customs, but not surprising. I haven't been in the shop since the madness hit.

Now, to be sure, he's got equipment that somebody will salivate over.

I was in Batsake's this afternoon. They also no longer offer cleaning services, which they used to. Not sure how long ago they stopped that. Still, I bought a Derby which I'll be picking up tomorrow after they tilt the brim for me .

I'm blessed to live 25 minutes away. Walking into the store is liking stepping into the past - it's very cool.

I think the oldest continuously operating hat shop in the UK must be Lock & Co, from the 18th century.
I must confess that I am not a customer of theirs, as other retailers afford better value.
