Which episode(s) of The Avengers would you recommend, Miss sofia? Great show which we were (thankfully) able to see in the States, too.

Let's not forget The Prisoner, another Brit show.

I haven't seen alot of the first series, not since they were repeated when i was a kid, but i'm working my way through series three and four which are excellent and i love the fabulous supporting cast they have in them. One of the later episodes i have seen is a belter, with the great Toshiro Mifune, can't remember the name but i will find out as it's bugging me now!

Inspector Morse - I absolutely loved watching this back in the late 80's/early 90's and now it's being repeated (as a two-parter) on ITV (UTV) every weekday. John Thaw was brilliant as Morse.....

P.S. - I want his Jaguar Mark II.....but then again who doesn't?!

On a separate and sadder note, it's a shame to see what has become of the house that they used in the series:

I had a good cry when the character off Morse passed away and I'm not one to blub over tv characters - as for the man himself it was very sad when he died - I read Sheila Hancock's book about their life together "The Two of Us - My Life with John Thaw" and it was a brilliant read - great insight into their relationship - they were just mad about each other which makes it all even sadder.

Miss Sofia - I will also say that as well as his car I want his house too! I hope your neighbour looked after his motor and spent a lot of time waxing and polishing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss G - Yes a great character on and off screen, sorely missed in our house. And yes, you can probably see that car from outer space, it's so shiny!

Lovely! Glad to hear it was appreciated and loved!

I would love a vintage car but I'm just learning how to drive in the past year or so (yes - I took my time learning to drive but my Mum was 56 when she did too so maybe it's genetic!) and I have a lovely little car but I was so tempted to get a Nissan Figaro (not vintage per se but vintage style) but not the most practical when you have a baby to bring around with you.;)

Its been a lot of years since I saw it and may have the details fuzzy, or just plain wrong.

Its not very old, but there was an hour-long episode of Family Ties that featured Michael J. Fox's character, Alex, talking from some sort of dream sequence that had him examining his life up to that point. It was done much like an abstract stage play, and was ground-breaking for its time.

I would recommend to anyone to watch it.

Mister Ed! - It is silly, humorous, light hearted

I go along with Happy Days - Always liked The fonz' attire

Also:

I dream of Jeannie - Just because I loved endulging in the colours
Rawhide - I like western
The Pursuaders - Tony Curtis was quite neat
Start Trek - The Original Series - Who doesn't want tribbles!

I apologise for not naming individual episodes, it has been too long since I have seen the above. Which is why they should be repeated :D
