Brother Cobb earned the first American League Chalmers Award, and given his well-known reluctance to part with a buck, probably drove it until it fell apart.

I can relate to it because I also ran away when I was first left to live with my grandmother.
I was three. I missed my sisters and headed for home.
Checking recently on Google map finder, it was a 15 mile journey.
Amazing what can be done when homesick or in need of affection!
