Old fashioned acne treatment

Acne and Dry Wrinkled Skin

You'd think at over 40 I'd stop having acne but no. I eat healthy foods and am on no medication whatsoever, so what gives?. My doctor wouldn't give me anything for it but I took FortWorthGal's advice and use Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. I dab some on spots before bed and make sure to remove it before going outside, it's green! Works a treat.

The best thing that I ever used that got rid of acne was Benzoyl Peroxide.
The one I used was Neutrogena On-The-Spot.

If your acne is bad...skip over the doc and go right to a dermatologist.

I know...I have an HMO and they finally did away with referrals last year.

Most doctors seem to be understanding about wanting to see a specialist.
I would call my doc and just tell him what I wanted and where I wanted to go...and I would never have to go in to see him.

My acne's not bad, I just didn't think I'd have it anymore at my age. lol

My mother is ten years older than you and still breaks out sometimes...she says that chocolate always makes her skin flare up. She actually had me go without chocolate for a few weeks to see if it made a difference for me. Nope! Maybe it's the sugar? Sugar is definitely an inflammatory. The thing with me is, my diet is very low in sugar, generally! Most juices and sweetened drinks taste like pure sugar water to me because I'm not accustomed to it.

So your mom was 26 when you were born?
With all I eat, not much sugar and no chocolate at any rate, and my age I should break out terribly but am incredibly lucky I don't. I am 20 and was advised to use a hot washcloth every night nad morning but to not scrub too hard.
