Okay - Now I REALLY found a 7 3/4 vintage bowler!

Many of you may have skimmed this thread. It's in the middle of getting resolved, thankfully. The next time I scoured eBay with my usual saved search queries, I stumbled upon this. I was floored. It was as if I had summoned it. Not too long after, our contributor Carter sent me PM alerting me to it as well, which I found especially noble being that we're both of similar head size. It should be on its way to me soon, and I'll post pictures when it does.

In the meantime, here are the sufficient pictures from the auction. Take note of that wonderful size tag at the end. Can someone date this for me?

Great Buy

I tracked it all the way and had planned to bid if it stayed low. Looks like it is in great shape.
Glad you got it :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Let us know what it's like as far as thickness, stiffness and the brim curl. I've never handled a derby that's that new.

I'll do my best.

Any guesses on the age of this one? I know so little about bowlers.

Okay, so... I don't know what to do to answer your questions. Heh. This is the first bowler I've ever handled, really, other than the one I had to return. It's stiff, it seems somewhat thick, and I don't know how to describe the brim curl. If you give me tips, I'll get you whatever information you need.

Looks good, DJ. Have you tried it tilted more forward and slightly to one side? You can certainly pull
off the rakish look. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
