Looking back through the thread, it seems they cost $6.80 with shipping. Under $15 is very fair!

@DJH, what is a minimum pin order and its cost? I only need one. Everyone I know pretty much is a slob so I don't have anyone else to order for.

Hmm,..that's nice, but would be even nicer if minted like a coin out of sterling silver. Might cost a hundred bucks but I'd get one.:D Maybe one of those die struck pins on the site, that would work I think.

Any "lapel pin mfg" will make them easily... all that's needed is ARTWORK... any ideas out there ... I'm sure a a lot of us would be in...!?!?

I'd be in too. Maybe some enterprising sould with more time on their hands than I, might, with the blessing of the Owners, look into setting this up via a Kickstarter? It's be a little bit more work than just getting 100 folks on here to do an "I'm in", but it would mean that the money to fund the project could be collected in advance, meaning noone is out of pocket; if not enough interest can be generated to make it viable, then no money is collected an noone is out of pocket at all (aside from someone being out an hour or two putting the Kickstarter together). Personally, I'd be happy to buy a couple at a pricepoint which allowed for a smallcontribution to the running of this place (in exchange for use of artwork), and a couple of bucks for someone's time in putting the Kickstarter together.

I'd love one in a 3-D pewter, but flat enamel-on-steel would be nice too.

I was lucky enough to be gifted one from a fellow lounger but would pick up a few more (particularly if they were made smaller and into cuff-links) - I use mine as a tie tack and a lapel pin on a very regular basis.

We need some more sponsors, more advertisers. Our revenue right now pays to keep the site up and running, but we'll need to put a good bit into updating the look and feel of the site. Maybe lapel pins could help out some, but it'll require some capital to get it started.

We'll look into it.

I never used mine, because it was the kind of straight pin that pokes a pretty good hole in a hat, and the post was pretty long, so there was no way it was going to just go through a ribbon and sit right. If it was a side-mount or safety-pin style fixture/clasp that you could mount like the JBS branding iron pin on a ribbon, I'd go for the all silver or steel/enamel idea, no matter what the cost. Nathan,

With regard to hatters at least, I believe the Lounge could probably have more advertisers and generate more revenue/"buzz" with a lower price point and a bit more inclusive atmosphere. As a newly designated Vendor who has personally inquired about Sponsorship, I think these things must discourage at least some potential sponsors who might otherwise take a chance. It seems to me that having a dozen advertisers at a lower price point would probably generate more revenue than one at a high price point. Just a thought....

Yep. A pin back would be better than a clutch back. Even better I think would be a clip that simply slides onto a hatband or through a lapel buttonhole or etc. Something that causes no damage at all as there are no sharp pointy parts.

Yes, I love the idea. The original pin. The only thing that would make it better is if the actual name "The Fedora Lounge" could be imprinted on it for the benefit of the lounge and that would most likely require the pin to be a bit bigger in size.

Personally I prefer the old one that I have with no text, it lends an air of mystery to it LOL

Yes, no text for me. My social club has no text on our pi s rither, but people always ask and it probably draws more interest that way..
