Well, this thread is going to be slightly fail, because I can't get my scanner to work. Although, I have an idea, I might be able to edit this later.

Kind of made me feel "UGHHH" reading the paper today, where in the "Now" section, pages 18-19 is a full feature on all the celebs wearing fedoras.

Of course, everyone who knows no better, or saw that article, will now think I, or we, are wearing fedora's to be like Brad Pitt.

Oh boy..

Either way, after reading that, I said to myself "Well, hardly any of those hats are very nice.. and the rest of their clothing looks more like a costume than the vintage stuff the guys here are wearing!"

So, I think us vintage people still come out on top.

I know we've touched on this topic before at FL. There was a similar discussion, I believe, around the time the fourth Indiana Jones movie was released. Some members here thought it would possibly increase hat sales, as well as increasing the number of "Indy Comments", as if an individual would not wear a fedora for any other reason than to look like Indy.

Thankfully, the ones who know us know better. I've seldom had a "dumb comment" directed at me, and I believe for the most part, any random comments from strangers in public mainly roll off peoples' backs.

I guess anyone who strays from the mainstream must face a little ridicule every now and then, and then must simply laugh at it and keep on pluggin' on.

Eh, well, we won't be accused of trying to look like B. Pitt if we are wearing a full suit and (for example) spectators.
