I think there was a rumour-level news story circulating this morning that they had in fact discovered bodies on board.

I will assume loggers found it... Here is the first sentence of the article:

A World War II-era U.S. Navy aircraft has been discovered by a logging company in a remote Oregon forest.

You probably did like me and immediately looked at the pictures. I had to go back and read the article.

Yeah, loggers found it. Shockingly, we do fell trees in Oregon still

Duh, I was was about to complain that there wasn't much of a story. I could try reading from the first paragraph.

Interesting story. The Oregon coast had a big WW2 history. There was a dirigible base up there, Fort Stevens whose gun batteries dueled with a Japanese submarine and there were instances of Japanese balloon bombs hitting the area.
