That is a fine looking hat! This is a refurbishment I asked Mike to do. Originally it is from Monticristi Custom Hat Works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The ribbon and sweat were not very good. You can see the original in the Panama thread.

The replacement ribbon color is "gunmetal." The re-block is absolutely perfect. The ribbon treatment is a bit different and I realize some will not like it. But it is exactly what I asked Mike to do and I absolutely love it! So far I've had Mike do a couple of custom straws for me and they are fantastic. This was the first time I asked him to do any kind of refurbishment and I love it. I currently have a custom beaver silverbelly in queue and can hardly wait.

I had a similar hat with a bit narrower brim that I sold to the good doctor Max aka @drmaxtejeda. I wanted a taller crown and wider brim. So I shamelessly stole (with permission) this combo from Doug aka @Tukwila. I find I really like Doug's collection.
It was finished today and will ship Friday. Silverbelly with copper ribbon. 5 3/4" crown, 3" brim front and back, 2 7/8" sides.

Doug in his silverbelly. When I was describing what I wanted, as soon as I mentioned Doug, Mike Miller knew exactly what I wanted.

Silverbelly from Mike Miller arrived today. A thing of beauty. It's been in the mid 90s here. May have to wait a couple of months before wearing it out for the first time. But, as I enter this post, it feel very good on my bald head.I had a similar hat with a bit narrower brim that I sold to the good doctor Max aka @drmaxtejeda. I wanted a taller crown and wider brim. There are a few...Interesting. My best friend was telling me about a hat maker from when he was in Oregon at a wedding a couple months ago. I wonder if this is who he was talking about

Oregon is blessed with numerous great custom hatters. Something about the water or the rain?Interesting. My best friend was telling me about a hat maker from when he was in Oregon at a wedding a couple months ago. I wonder if this is who he was talking about
