Precisely.
Anybody know who is actually making their jacket? Where they are actually produced?
There are several "leather jacket companies" out there that import their jackets/sell jackets actually produced by other entities that don't make that obvious.

What I gathered is that the leather is imported from Argentina and in Germany they make the jackets. They claim to do their own tanning as well but whether the tanning is done in Germany or Argentina is not clear to me. Anyway I found that the leather of the jacket (Argentinian Steer Hide) which I ordered was really beautiful and buttery soft. Real classy leather but I found the fit around my chest and shoulders very tight (ok the Perfecto style jacket is meant to be a slim fit jacket) but for me it was way too tight. But the biggest drawback was that I found that some parts of the jacket were very shoddily stitched. The outside was fine but the stitching of the lining around the one side of one of the inside pockets was not nicely done at all. Also the belt-buckle I found to be a cheaply manufactured buckle and one of the eyelets in the belt had been very poorly pressed. Just enough little errors to spoil the overall niceness of the jacket for me. I would then rather spend another Euro300 and order one from Alexander Leathers and be sure to get a quality made jacket that I can wear without having to worry about little badly finished details and that I can be sure will last me for the rest of my life.

Yes Comrade, and angrier than ever.
I sent my regular bi-monthly reminder to NH last week. Asking for my refund and quoting their website's declamation that refunds will be paid.
I haven't had any reply from NH since the first mutually disappointed exchange , a year since, where they asked me if I wanted a refund, and I responded, Yes. Bizarrely, and without any kind of self reference, they posed the same Q 3x, and I answered 3x Yes.
Biblical right? These guys learnt from Judas.
Having emailed them with enquiry after enquiry for a year now, I was surprised when they replied last week. Horrendous! I quote them:
"Hello,We tried to call you.You write us one year later and try to say we didn´t refund you??Whats going on with you"
Charming! They never refunded me, never answered over 10 emails. Now they suddenly pretend they did refund, and that I haven't been in contact.
Anyway, remember this, the jacket first came to me naked, in a box, missing a zip-pull and with loose threads round the button holes. This stuff is mediocre at best. If a proper flight jacket is what you want, then get it made to measure by pros. It'll outlast you; better than a car. I'm now the wiser, contented owner of an Eastman Hartman, a Pegasus Marseille, and a couple of BUAEROs.
Have you seen those guys on You Tube? Pile 'em high....
