Nice mystery leather jacket

Wondering if anyone can help me ID this jacket. I won it on eBay recently and the seller told me that the jacket was traded to him over 20 years ago in San Francisco. Comparing it to my Perfecto, it seems just as nice, if not nicer. Weighs over 6 lbs, heavy canvas inside pocket and chest pocket. Leather lined waist pockets. Belt snaps to accommodate a sam brown belt, waiting on one currently. The label came off a long time ago, no other tags or indicators of the maker. Looks cal leather LAPD inspired but obviously has some differences. All brass hardware, ykk zippers, lace up sides. Anyone have any idea or recognize the shape of the old label?

From the back panel I’m guessing it’s Johnson Leathers made and probably would’ve been labeled “Worn out West” or “Mr. S”

Actually....I found an example of the worn out west label. Definitely seems the same shape. Haven't found an exact match though

Hey, @mattdarat nice jacket! I had that listing watched. You got a really nice jacket for a good deal. Judging by the size of the former label, this was from "A Taste of Leather" in San Francisco, which fits what the seller said to you. Here a post by @Chevalier showing an exact jacket like yours.

Sure looks great! Very well made. I was initially thinking "Just Leathers" San Jose, but no, I think the Johnson route is correct. Looks very solid and in very nice - not broken in condition.
