When I was a teenager, I drank too much and made some 'stomach acid washed jeans' and sheets, carpet etc. wish I'd kept 'em now (jeans, not sheets and carpet).
last time I had a pair of jeans like that, I'd just dodged a huge pothole in a country lane and hit a pile of mud mixed with liberal cowpats and fell off the bike!

I'll take some more photos for you, I've got this Nifty WWII Jump Bag that I stuffed with shirts and Jeans I've been working on to sell. The bag was from a local flea market, it was Teaming with mildew and the brass bits were Rotten through like a shipwreck. I washed it and 75% of the Brown-Yellow Dye all washed out to my astonishment! It has a very marbled patina now but I guess it was lying on the dirt floor of a shed-barn-garage for the better part of a few decades...better than taking it to a landfill I guess. I'll have to take to a guy I know who does Marine canvas and see if he's got some fasteners and brass bits for me.
