Honestly, about 20 mins. Hahaha! I emailed John about another jacket and he replied that he had this one ready to go. Him and I are very close in size but I've lost a bit of weight and he made this one a little snug so we're guessing it'll be a good fit. So it's coming for me to try on. If it doesn't fit I think he intends to put it up on the sale page. It was sheer dumb luck.

Oh and yes, it's Horween chrome tanned HH. Black all the way through and John says it's nice and grainy and soft.

The grain looks incredible and I'm thinking that a straight black, chrome tanned, is probably more historically accurate also.

Well, I'm sorry to say this jacket won't be getting returned and being put up on the sale page. I'm keeping it. After many years of only wearing black I had stopped about 10 years ago now. Got rid of every stitch I had. However, the hankering for a black leather jacket had reappeared recently so I was stoked when this one almost literally fell into my lap.
I won't be able to gain much weight because it fits perfectly at the moment and unlike with an A-2 I don't think there's any wiggle room in a café racer. For now though I get to enjoy the wonderful smell and feel of an extremely nice new jacket.
I will get fit pics as soon as I can. I'm hoping my friend who has a knack of not making me look horrible in photos can take some soon.
