The second of my two Aero's arrived yesterday ( boy I sure do hate the wait!).
Anyway, super pleased with the FQHH Maxwell in brown with OG stitching and one added internal pocket.
First impression is that the Horween brown FQHH is DEFINITELY all it's cracked up to be. Just a beautiful rich look and feel (almost a "glow") and I can't wait to see how it breaks in!
Obviously since this is a very different leather than my previous purchase (Italian Vicenza 1920's Work Coat) it is a more substantial feeling jacket with more heft and stiffness straight out of the box. There is also more of a "warmth" to the Horween that is hard to describe. Not a physical "oh its thicker so must be warmer" vibe, just a softness and warmth that comes off more than the Vicenza (don't get me wrong though, I love the Vicenza as well). Carrie at Thurston/Insurrection advised a size 40 for this coat (as opposed to the 42 on the Work Coat) and the fit seems great, and as the leather breaks in and softens and begins to drape I think it will be the perfect fit. (thanks Carrie!)
A few shots of jacket straight out of the box and some fit pics as I know these seem to be appreciated. Any and all comments welcome but just understand this jacket is brand new so fit is a bit stiff. Fit pics include both buttoned and unbuttoned. (hope I'm not posting too many images)
