Need advice: Biltmore or Akubra?

Both of these brands are getting good reviews. A hatter in my area sells Biltmores (an older variety than what I can find on the net) for $165 a piece, or do I go with the Akubra Federation, at $100 + shipping?

Recommendations?

AKUBRA

AKUBRA for felt, unreservedly and without question. I currently own three Akubras and have three on the way. All of my Akubras are tremendous. I do not currently own any Biltmore felts but have handled them and was not impressed, better than current Stetsons, but not up to Akubra. On the other hand my two Biltmore straws (one Panama & one Milan) are my go-to summer lids & the Akubra straws I have seen are polypropylene nightmares. Who'd thunk you'd get a great summer straw from Canuckastan but NOT OZ, eh? [huh]

Is that the shop on Spadina or Avenue road?

Justdog, I refer to the one on Spadina & College (Rotman's Hats). The one on Avenue (The Hatter) carries modern Biltmores, not of the quality Rotman's carries.

In the end it's a matter of personal taste.
Rick Loves his Akubras I love my Biltmores. I own both, but for dress, It's Biltmore.. Outdoors, It's Akubra.
