Navy SNJ Trainer Colors and Markings

Ive found a color pic of an SNJ at NAS Jacksonville circa 1942, it appears to be a dull dark blue in color. I've seen pics with a silver fuselage, blue tail surfaces and yellow wings as well. I'm trying to recreate a model with my son to represent one from the N.A.T.T.C in Memphis TN around mid 1944. Any and all comments are appreciated. Thank you!

I can't help you with the specific location you ask about, but T-6 Texan in Action may be of some help. The ...in Action books have two-page colour spreads in the middle, and lots of photos. Unfortunately, my copy is packed away somewhere; else I'd check for you. You may be able to peruse a copy at Barnes & Noble or another bookstore, or at your local hobby shop.
