Well "Pearl" arrived a couple of weeks ago and I have been so busy driving her around I forgot to update this thread!

Here are a few shots in Dublin. These were taken on Vico Road, in Killiney, Dublin (for those of you who may know!).

Oh man, that is so cool:eusa_clap Also, that is a long radio antenna! I've never seen one that long! That looks really swell!

The N.O.S. tie looks good! You're wearing it just the right way!

Enjoy your N.O.S. '41!

Of course, you realize...

...that you are the most fortunate man to ever wear shoes?

I would wax over-the-moon at that car and your suitability for it, but our language isn't up to the task. Just speechless!

Congratulations!

The Sonomatic radio (which is 65 years old) is iPod compatable!

I'm NOT kidding.

I plug the iPod into an aux wire that's in the glove compartment and play the Boswell Sisters.

Mr H,

I just happened on this thread and I must say, what a stunning vehicle. I'm a big fan of the '41 Buick myself. You found a real jewel. I hope it gives you decades of joy and fun cruising around Ireland. Well done! :eusa_clap

;)

Why thanks ED, Daisy, Daniel!

It was kinda weird when I saw the odometer tiking to 35,000 miles last week.

I felt kinda guilty! [huh]

It's a really low mileage car from just before the war.

A tip of the hat... and don't park near some
of those infamous Dublin pubs... :cheers1:

The only car I've ever owned was a 1964 Buick LeSabre.
A fine car, but nothing like that...

Mr.'H', how are your fellow Dubliners reacting to your car?

.

I've got used to the bemused stares. Virtually all good natured.

The hat thing now fits in perfectly, in fact I'd feel kinda stupid without a hat in the Buick.

Definitely a more pronounced reaction than the folks in NC, USA.

Some people just stop and their jaws hit the ground, usually 60 yrs+ men.

I'm just utterly chuffed.

BEAUTIFUL

Mr. H,

Amazing car and amazing story...what a time.

Are we going to see some photographs of you, yours and the car in front of

some icons...Ring of Kerry, pubs and perhaps in a gypsy (The Pavee) caravan.

Enjoy and regards,

Michael
