I've got to say, though the finish is tremendous, giving the felt an amazing hand that I've only felt on a 7xCB, I'm happy to be rid of mine. If it hadn't fit, it would have been hard to sell it, just because of the great deal I got on it. The stiffness, though, was a real turn off for me. Now that I've owned both, I'll join in the others who have written that, despite being half the price, I'd rather own a 7xCB than a 100. Of course, that's with the caveat that, according to others who have owned them, some 7xCBs are very stiff, while others, like mine, are like clay.

Only one of my 100s are stiff,that one is more of a western style and the sweatband is like the one you had.

I recently sold a Stetson 25 on ebay, and i thought, with a few seconds left and a 210-dollar bid, that it was a done deal. Then the sniping programs kicked in: sold for 357. It was a 7 5/8, though, with original box.

I'm watching this one out of curiosity, congratulations at the ready.
