My silk Dunlap and Co. top hat

I got this Idea of wearing a sweater and stroller jacket with a top hat from a picture of the Prince of Whales.

The top hat is bell curved and is 6 1/4 inches tall.

metropd, If you had described that outfit, with no picture, I would have sworn it would never work. Lo and behold, it does work. Quite nicely, too!!!

I couldn't help noticing that the shirt collar stands away from the shirt. Perhaps a smaller knot or longer collar. Oh yes, the hair sweeping back over the ear seems to be missing. Maybe a more muted red square.

Other than that awesome. The lines of the hat are really nice, the brim curl on the sides primo. And I like the sweater cuff treatment.

The shirt colar is stiffer and a different material than the rest of the shirt. That might be what it is? I personaly think that red pocket square is perfect but I could be wrong.

I was really just trying to show off the top hat since this is what the thread is about. Thank you though for your words of encourgment.

Thank you for putting these up metropd. It appears as though you have the sweater tucked in, is there a chance that you could post a picture with the jacked open?

I teeter-tottered for a moment about the red pocket square, but I really dig it.

I hate to admitt it but Brit Hume had an influnce in the red pocket square with the light tan sweater and white collar shirt and blue polka dot tie.

I think the top hat is from the very late 1800's or very early 1900's.
