My new SCHOTT LC BOSTON jacket

Hi Guys !
Here is another purchase. A brand new SCHOTT LC BOSTON in size XL in cow hide. This particular model seems to be available only in EU market.
The jacket is fantastic. The fit too. It seems like it was custom made.
I'm very happy with it. It costs me only 299€ all included. What do you think about it ?

It looks very interesting! Are the EU only editions still made in USA? I know all the shirts and a lot of their non leather jackets are marked as " imported" and are made in India etc. I bought a couple of their work shirts about 2 years ago that were made in India. They actually looked a lot different in real life than they did on the website. Just the colours were pretty washed out. I think that looks pretty cool, and the fit and price are both great.

No this one is not USA made. The colors and materials are near than these you can find on the internet. It's a very nice finish and good heavy leather.

I think it's pretty cool. What sort of lining? Any interior pockets? For that price, it looks like a great score.

Well, I woke up to a robber in the house the other day...guy took off with a bunch of stuff (he missed the jackets though) and was caught by the LAPD not long after...

Yep, it's a police style jacket. I love the heavy leather. I try to ask to Schott Europe what is the leather's weight. I wait for the response. But I think it is between 2.5 and 3 oz.

Very nice jacket. I'd like to see it a year from now when it gets broken in. I wonder what the reasoning is for selling different styles in particular markets. You see that quite a bit.

Thanks. Everything is fine. I moved so my mom wasn't there. Could have been much worse. He went for the Playstation, oblivious to the value of my jackets! Haha. The average burglar probably has no estimate of their value. It's a good security feature.

I've never thought of jackets that way! A lot of criminals are stupid, which is one reason the jails are always full. My neighbor was getting out of the shower a few months back when he found a guy standing in his living room. He had a revolver handy and caught the guy. The weird thing was that he's a state law enforcement officer, and had his official SUV parked right in front of the house!

the fit looks great on you, congratz!

seems like it has side zipper, where you can unzip when sitting/ riding, or did I see something else.. I like that feature, super useful on longer jacket (as useful as double ended main zip, but without the annoyance of it)

You are right. 2 side zippers. Unfortunately here in France the weather is hot hot hot. Should wait for the freeze and rain !!!!

That's a cool feature....I wish they would sell some of their Japanese market jackets in decent( larger) sizes.

Great looking jacket. Excellent fit. Looks really heavy! Very nice collection, Tefouane, shame you've only a cell phone to take pictures with as it doesn't do your jackets and justice.

Terrible to hear that happening, Nick. But it's good the guy is out of a circulation, for a while at least. Playstation is the first thing they go for... I admit, whenever I'm visiting someone for the first time, I always take a peek at their wardrobe to see if there's anything of 'value' hanging in there. Not to steal it, of course, but to start negotiating the price. lol
