Back in the summer, BK had a great sale on their house model A-2. While I'm not A-2 nut (not yet, at least), I bought one in seal brown with OD stitching. I really like their version of seal brown as it is lighter than many I've seen. I'm a slim 40 and it fits pretty slim. I expect it will fit even better after some wear as it needs to stretch out a bit. Today was the first day I've worn it out of the house. I do need to give the collar the hot water treatment ( I can't help but think of Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs when I hear hot water treatment - it rubs the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again), but I like it quite a bit. Edit: the hat is from Orvis. Wool brown herringbone

Looks great, Grayland! The cut on their jackets is slimmer than many "house' jackets and it looks great. I think the color is also very nice. Hoping to see more once it gets some wear time.

PS - what's the scoop on the hat - I like that.

Your new A-2 does, in fact, look great and also appears to fit you very well.

So says the man with his gate... ;-)
You'd be proud of me Ian, I took some pics and didn't use the fence this time. I'm debating however to post them due to the fact that the jacket I think looks pretty good will likely ear the scorn of the peanut gallery... lol

Neat-o jacket. The Bill Kelso jacket is really well put together and looks sharp on you.
If I may - try giving it a once over with saddle soap before any sort of "hot water tx"...
I found, on mine, that was the end of squeaking and it softened up considerably. Enough so that practical wearing will do the rest of the work in a hurry.

Hi there,

Was wondering. You are a slim 40? How tall are you?
Can you check the measurements of your jacket please.
Am considering one and am pedantic about fit.
Regs,

AFAIK they changed the sizes if their house A2 in september so this 40 won't have the same measurements as their current 40.
