Hello all,
I just received my brand new Aero B6 in seal brown sheepskin with seal trims...and she's a beaut! Big thanks to Holly at Aero for being so helpful and patient during the ordering process...it was worth the wait.
As some of you will know, I decided to sell my Aero 15142 A2 that I bought a few months back - it just wasn't the right cut of A2 for me, and I hope to get myself and Eastman Slender or Aero Bronco at some point next year. In the interim, I felt like now was the perfect time to scratch my sheepskin itch with the B6.
I had always liked the look of sheepskins, but wasn't keen on the bulkiness and sheer size of the B3 or Irvin. The much simpler D1 appealed to me visually, but allegedly fits like a sack - so the trimmer, tapered B6 seemed like the logical route to go down.
The jacket fits perfectly. I have a 45 inch chest, am 6'3 and this size 46 with a 28 inch back and 27.5 sleeves fits me great. I am surprised by how slim fitting a jacket this is - even with the side zips undone, there is a tremendous amount of shape through the body. Despite this, it's incredibly comfortable to wear, and I can easily fit an extra layer underneath it too.
I cannot fault the quality of construction either (thank you to Tony Glover for doing such a good job making this one, sir!). The sheepskin is amazingly soft and fluffy at the moment - although I presume it will wear down as time goes on - and this is a jacket that definitely feels like it will keep me warm when the temperatures drop in the coming weeks.
In short, it's my perfect sheepskin!
