I know this is your first vintage hat, but you do realize how desirable a lid that is, right? Seeing how your luck is going, you may wish to take a peek under the sweatband -- you just might find a couple of 50s tucked in there.

I certainly didn't, but judging by the reactions in this thread, Sean has snagged himself a very good deal. lol

Desirable or not, and just going on my own newbie viewpoint, I think this is a nice looking hat anyway. I'm not normally all that keen on brims with edge binding on them, so my initial reaction upon seeing such a wide one on this hat was "yikes", but it suits the hat perfectly, and the more I look at it, the more I am being won over by binding.

Excellent find.

I looked, no cash in the band. I couldn't believe the luck on this find. Most of the vintage stuff I find is way to small to fit me and in horrible shape.
