Here is my first A-2 jacket! A Bill Kelso Dubow 27798, Liberty Seal.
I bought it used from a forum member (thanks Brett!) And love it ! I am very pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the jacket. Liberty Seal leather is beautiful and should develop a very nice patina.

Congratulations. The A-2 looks great on you and as far as I can judge (I'm not an historical expert) the fit looks perfect IMO. I always wondered how BK's Liberty HH is/feels compared to other well-known HH.

Thank you all. :)
I am lucky for the size of the jacket, but above all I have been very well advised.
This is a 42 long (I'm 1m88 tall for 74 kg). This is exactly what I needed.

Liberty HH leather is really excellent. It's my only A-2 jacket and it's hard to compare with other brands.
But I also have a cycling jacket, and the leather of the A-2 is much thicker. I think it matches what existed on originals. There are some parts with a lot of grain and others a little smoother, it gives it a lot of character.
The color is also really beautiful (seal) and corresponds well to what can be seen on many original jackets.

Great Fit! I owned a BK Monarch in Liberty HH. I still own a BK Dodger in Liberty. Mine are both fast wearing finish. Not sure if your jacket is that.

Mine started out new and achieved a very nice worn in look. Here is an album with jacket.

tmitchell59, I had seen pictures of your Liberty HH leather jackets. It convinced me that I had to buy this A-2 !
I find the patina of your jackets absolutely magnificent ! I hope mine will evolve in the same way.
You say that some HH Liberty leathers are fast wearing finish ? Isn't that the case with all (Liberty HH leathers)? On the Bill Kelso website, it is written that Liberty HH leather is intended to patina quickly.

I have not looked at BK site in some time. Your jacket should wear in like mine. Enjoy.

On a sizing note; it takes many of us several A2s to find the one. You have done well.

I don't understand what you're saying.

Regular coat hangers are perfectly fine for leather jackets as long as they're thick and the right size. Your shoulders aren't straight either, the creases will appear anyway if your jacket patterns is made a certain way.

maybe its nonsense, but the crease on the chest of my A2 is real......

"The worst way to store a leather jacket is on a typical suit hanger with the steeply sloped shoulder used pretty much as standard by the hanger industry (see 'wrong' pic). Any length of use of these virtually guarantee deep creases forming down the front of a leather jacket starting from the join of the neck and the shoulder seam (as shown in jacket crease pic).

This is caused as the weight of the leather hanging at an unnatural angle starts to fold inwards, this gets worse if the jacket is zipped up or buttoned up and summer storage will often leave creases which will never come out."
