fedoralover, thanks, the hats are 100% beaver, price wise its best to check with Mike on what you may want. But prices can vary from $175 to $400.

Thanks Bob, I havent had much chance for the black one.
The brim on the Ranger is 3 1\8th. About the widest brim I have.

Thank you Tomasso and Douglas !!

David C, the hat you speak of is The TVA so named after a hat my grandfather had on in a 1936 photo.{he was working for the TVA at the time}
Mike worked with me and copied the hat.
Here is a link to the thread on it. By the way the TVA was one of the first fedoras Mike made for the public.

And yes the 1912 is named for the hat "Fedora" wore in the first part of Last Crusade.

Thanks Bolt & Bob I also refer you to this thread... http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?t=19910&highlight=introducing

Thank you OG!!! Give the Major a shout, you may be surprised at what you and he can work out!!!!

Rusty, thanks for posting the link to your TVA story. The whole tale of how your hat came to be is very cool. I've seen the hat quite a few times, but I didn't know what all was behind it. Was this hat your first from Major Moore and how did it come about that you asked Mike to make this hat?

Yes the TVA was my first hat from Mike, and it was also one of the first fedoras Mike made.
I found Mike here on the Lounge, and he was close and one thing led to a hat!
I sent him a copy of the photo and ask if he thought he could come up with a hat that looked like the one in the picture. And one thing I have since learned about Mike is he loves a challenge.
The rest ..as they say is history!!!! :D

The man deserves to have his work showcased as do our other fine hatters. He is as much a gentleman as any I have ever met.

What a great collection sir. Undoubtedly its a "Texas" Ranger though; Arizona Rangers did not have that much class!

Thanks for the chance to see them all.

warbird, very nice as well. I really like the color on The Forest.

Looks like the "Capone" to me!:D

Is the middle one the lightweight? I thought you had a lightweight with a thin ribbon that you wore when we were there.

The middle one is the light weight all beaver I wore when in Memphis. Not a thin ribbon, but not particularly wide either.

The one on the left you also saw at Mike's. It's dark green and a lighter weight, though not a super lightweight, again all beaver. The felt on it is very thin and flexible. I like the tall crown on it with straight sides and somewhat shorter brim. I like the bash in it, which has that crooked front pinch.

Thats what is great about getting to see folks from the lounge in person. The hats that look good in a picture are 10 times better when you see them in real life. All the hats in this thread that I have seen in person are so much nicer than pictures can show!:eusa_clap

Those are great too, Warbird. The green one catches my eye probably because I don't have a green fedora, but they're all very nice. Is that a silver ribbon or a light green on the green hat?

You guys are killing me. I've got hats on their way but not here yet, and I know what they look like.
