I don't see him as one to take advantage of his fan base, and I know it had a lot of "authentic personalizations," but crikey I can't justify spending that on a hat.

I don't see him that way either. It's probably in some clause in his management contract or record deal. There could be a tellall book in his future.

Invariably, whenever Ray Wylie Hubbard is mentioned, I think of Jerry Jeff Walker’s intro to Up Against the Wall Redneck Mother: “This song was written by Ray Wylie Hubbard...”.

I’d not heard him do that one. I like a lot of Gordon Lightfoot songs, but I’ll have to say this is one song where the “cover” is every bit as good as the original.
