There are millions of pretty girls who show up in Hollywood every year, who nobody ever hears of. These women are legends because they had not only beauty but brains and talent as well, not to mention that indefinable magnetism that made them stars. I would take issue with that quote, tho. Other than Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, and I suppose Lillian Gish, I think most people remember these stars as they were in their prime.
If you peruse the photos, there are a few booboos. They have a picture of Liz Taylor next to Hedy Lamarr's name, and a very fuzzy picture of a guy with a beard and a dress next to Olivia deHavilland's name!
