Wow, I don't think they could have made that arm look more phony if they tried. Two elbows and a hand that looks like they borrowed it from Andre the Giant???
I'm always a little tickled to see this poster, as I'm so used to seeing it marketed as 'Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior". The "MadMax 2" bit was, I believe, dumped for the US market (possibly some other territories too?) as the original Mad Max didn't get a wide release there and there was a fear that selling it as a sequel would limit its reach for that reason. Still a fun picture. Some of its look seems dated now, though I think that's mainly because over time it was so often copied. A lot of interesting ideas in it. I loved the first one; this was a pretty good sequel. The third film had its limitations.... the kiddy 'Walker' cult were superbly creepy, but I had a hard time taking the Tina Turner bit seriously, all just a bit too 'MTV' for me. The Tom Hardy flick was fantastic; I think there's a lot more road for this franchise to run on. I'd especially love to see a streaming series that could take everything from building the world of the first film through whatever happened between 1 & 2 to take the world full-on post-apocalyptic....
