Yes -- please!
Wear a pair of microfiber mop mitts over a pair of plastic medical gloves on your hands. Dip your hands in a 5 gal paint bucket. Don't know how many ft of pipe you have to paint & this can be a little bit sloppy wasting a bit of paint, but over ground or anything else that doesn't need to be protected, it's fast. The plastic medical gloves will keep your hands clean of paint. Beats brush, roller, pad, etc.

That is a great movie. That second hat looks a lot like the Artel you picked up awhile back. I like those old school vented straws as well..always have..

Assuming TV movies still count, here's Darren McGavin as reporter Carl Kolchak in The Night Stalker from 1972...

...and again in The Night Strangler a year later:

Same hat, different ribbons, and the front of the brim changed between being snapped up or down for no apparent reason. He also wore the same hat when Universal decided to greenlight the television series Kolchak: The Night Stalker, which survived only a single season.

It was such a great show, too.

It was good enough for Chris Carter to cite it as a "tremendous influence" when he created The X-Files, but Universal Studios never seemed to give it much respect. I'm convinced the only reason it lasted as long as it did was because of McGavin, who unofficially performed the duties of Executive Producer in addition to starring in the show and, at times, seemed to be the only person involved who had any faith in it.

McGavin was also in a couple of episodes, and during the "revival" a couple years ago they paid homage to Kolchak by suiting up a character to reference him.

Here's Michael Fassbender in the role of a younger Magneto wearing a nice looking flatter brimmed fedora in "X-men, Days of Future Past". The shape, the crease, and the height of the crown along with the color combo really makes this one stand out to me. I'm not much for flatter brimmed fedoras, but I do like this one...

I'm almost tempted to change the......hmmmm

Greetings All:
Has the movie “Mulholland Falls” been covered in this thread before? I’ve followed this thread but not every post.
Made in 1996, Nick Nolte, Melanie Griffith (ya ya) etc. Nolte knows how to wield a slap jack without loosing his hat. Lol

It’s a cop movie circa 1957 and the 4 main characters wear some very nice fedoras. Almost too nice, reminds me of Dobbs 20/40 style but Nolte’s main one is a sweet hat (maybe a Champ)? Looks like one i think Eric has, no bow just a knot and a patterned ribbon.

Anyway, no pics. No idea how to get any other than freeze the movie and take a phone shot??
Shows again an Saturday 15th on channel “Charge” cable. Whatever that is.
Oh yeah, ok movie, good people in it, nice hats.
