Which made me think of Gallipoli.
Which made me think of Gallipoli.
Not as I recall. In fact, I don't even think they included the gunbelts.Did they have the 8 gauge?
Can't find any pictures at the moment, but the 1955 creature feature "Tarantula" has a collection of some pretty cool hats worn by the sheriff and other town locals.
This series is where I first saw a Lord's Hat, finally got one a couple of months ago. Great hats in ever episode.Downton Abbey
I don't know if there's a TV hat thread that this should have been placed in but anyway, I didn't see one. Given the time frame this series encompasses, there are a plethora of hats, both male and female throughout.
On November 26th the epic film, Australia opens in the US. Almost 450 Akubras were used in the filming of the movie. http://www.davidmorgan.biz/2008/11/18/australia-movie/
Amen.Thankfully we still have Robert Duvall.
Gods and Generals
+1Amen.
Nicole's was the lid that revived my interest in hats, brought me to read extensively here at FL, and to order a Carbon Grey Fed from Hats Direct. Though it's worn in the film by a beautiful woman, clearly it's a man's fedora -- the contrast of which caught my attention.Australia
Just happened to flip it on. No shortage of great hats here.

Sean is dressed like a perfect Irish gentleman with his tweeds and cap, but you can't miss his Scot's burr.
Some nice lids in The Untouchables. Just realized that this movie came out 30 years ago. Where has the time gone.
Right, there was a big discussion here at the time, modified Squatter vs. Adventurer vs. Bushman vs. a hat that would now be called a Federation IV.I read that Hat she wore in Australia was an Akubra Squatter . The Hat whats-his-name is wearing was never named , but made by Akubra also .
Fantastic hat ... very much resembles my Standard Quality StetsonStill haven't seen Wonder Woman, but am even more motivated to do so, to see more of this hat that Chris Pine wears
