great hats

but Ethan Hawke is the only one who looks remotely convincing to the period to me
I don't disagree, but none of the main actors in the 1960 movie looked like they belonged in the old west either. Hollywood just wants 'em to look "cool", not "authentic".

Doesn't look too promising, more like a cliché ridden TV movie..

L'n'M, I really like The Missing. I'm glad you brought that one up. I also really liked The Homesman with Tommy Lee Jones that you brought up a page or two back. Both were really great movies. I think poor reviews for The Homesman were a result of the downer plot (with the crazy women) but the acting & the story were great.

Since we're on the subject of Tommy Lee Jones and downer plots, "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada."

I was in the line at Costco here in Fort Worth and the man in front of me looked familiar. I asked where I knew him from and he said maybe from TV's Prison Break. My sister went nuts because she loved the show and she recognized him. I never saw the show, but recognized Julio Cedillo from this movie. He was very nice and took some photos with my sister. I have had great luck meeting famous people at strange times.
