Yeah, I know about the organ work in the radio days, but Goldsmith's is better for "up-close-and-personal work"--or for inclusion in an adrenaline-pumping War Mix...

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

But now we're heading :eek:fftopic:

You might soon get a chance to hear it at the movie theatre again. I have it by good authority that Sam Raimi is going to try it again as he now has rights to The Shadow. :D Another hat movie on the horizon. ;)
Oh and I tried to get a snippet of that new laugh but I couldn't find one. [huh]

So I've heard--also, that Raimi's a hardcore old-school Shadow fanboy, and "Darkman" was almost a direct knockoff since he couldn't get the Shadow film-rights.

Hopefully, since JG's passed on, Raimi will bring in someone who'll blend the various scores together for some sense of "continuity".

OK, reviving an old thread, but a great one..

With me it was Bogart in Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep and Tokyo Joe. I just saw Tokyo Joe a few days ago, and if I had the tech to get a couple of stills from different angles from that movie, I'd send it to Art Fawcett and ask for that exact hat. Then I'd never need another fedora.

Like many folks, it was Indiana Jones who got me started on my road to fedora wearing when I was a youngster. However, that's not quite the entire story either. My two other heroes at the time wore hats and they were James Bond and Michael Jackson. Although more people know the latter for his more stingier brimmed black fedora from his famous Billie Jean performance at Motown 25, for me I really liked his wardrobe from the movie Moonwalker. The Smooth Criminal music video part is the most well known part, but in entire short film he also wore a black pinstriped version of the 30s styled white suit mostly remembered. Great suit, and great hat imo.
Yep Raiders of the Lost Ark was my first real exposure to the Fedora. As for James Bond I always remember him tossing it onto the hat rack but never really wore it anyother time.

If we're speaking of Connery's films, I think he only wore a hat in the first one, Dr. No. (unless you count the "real" first Bond film, Casino Royale, with Barry Nelson, in 1954).

No, he definitely wore a hat in other films...a straw in Thunderball, for example.

little did I realize...

that the milan hat I picked up from the nearby antique mall and sold here on the lounge may very well have been one that Sinatra wore lol:
