Modern Pocket Watches

Does anyone have a source for modern pocket watches? I like the kind with the closing lid to protect the face (I believe their called hunter's pocket watches?).

I've been looking on the Bay at vintage pieces, but I'd like to see what's out there for modern watches under warranty, etc.

And yes, they're called hunter-case pocket watches. My dad reckons I should own one of those instead of an open-face, to protect the crystal...but...meh.

I was looking at a Patek recently at the jewelers close to me, and it was only $30K.....

Yeah that's pretty rich.

One thing to consider if you're buying a pocket-watch:

Do you want a battery-powered quartz one? Or a handwound mechanical one? There are distinct benefits and disadvantages to each, but most people would insist on buying mechanical ones...

I'm a complete mechanical snob when it comes to pocket watches. Automatic or quartz watches are wrong and should not be tolerated.
