It is indeed a great town. We love it.
My much better half is a UGA grad and of course UGA, the dog and UGA the school, are part of her DNA. She had the misfortune of marrying a transplanted Yankee who likes yet gets confused by the SEC and follows his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. (See me with Stan Musial in my avatar).

We, however, are not with the Seilor family which has provided UGAs these past many years. Great dogs.

Ours is Chugg. He chugs like a train and I believe, does the same with beer.

Gentlemen:
Only recently came across this thread. You each have such beautiful Milans—and some quite unique.
Other than in those “brisk” winters of 50 degrees where the lightest of felts will work, I find I mostly wear straw here in Savannah—the Great Humidor of the SouthEast.
I also have a non vintage Dobbs and a Biltmore Milan porkpie; fun hats indeed.

See my Art VS Milan which is one of my favorites, and of Chugg the Beast. View attachment 180605

All the best
Great looking hat.
But that Chugg can really mug!!
Maybe we can see him in the Lounger’s pets thread too.

Nice, almost mint, vintage Medalist. Too small for me so it’s now looking for a home in the classifieds.

Just picked up this vintage Champ Milan Straw stingy off eBay. Thinking it’s from the late 50s or early 60s. Curious if it is real straw vs synthetic. I am thinking it may be real straw as it states Champ Milan Imported on the sweat band. Wasn’t necessarily looking for a stingy straw, but got it for a decent View attachment 219630 View attachment 219631 View attachment 219632

Nice! Definitely natural “straw” of some type, and maybe even genuine wheat straw.

I picked this Leone Cappelli Milan off ebay a couple years ago. The sweat band was shot and some of the threads were broken at the front brim-break so I had Mike Miller fix it up for me. A real nice vintage Milan with some toasty brown color to it.
