So this hallmark became like an itch to me that I had to scratch. I just felt the need to decode it. Here are my findings:

JX - Makers mark. It appears to have been made by Jewelex New York Ltd. See screen grab below.

Orb with Cross - Designation for platinum.

950 - Fineness in weight per 1000.

Castle - Edinburgh Scotland assay office mark.

O - Date mark for 2013.

Thanks again... I cross posted with you. Yes, my research shows the same and though I've not seen a stamp from Jewelex that looks like that on my ring, I don't find another maker using those letters. I did write to them with these photos but haven't had a reply. They seem to be a large company based in India with offices in many places, though not in Britain as far as I could see.

No problem. I enjoyed the detective work

Got it in clothing store for 13 bucks. From the Beeline Group's SIX jewelry brand. It seems to be rhodium-plated stainless steel. Got some weight!

If you’re getting into rings it’s worth buying a ring sizing kit. They’re dirt cheap and a finger pain and wallet saver.

This is a custom project I designed and had produced with a nice young jeweler who has a storefront at the end of my street. The platinum band posted sometime back came from his estate findings.

I had a twenty gram Swiss pure gold bar intended for wear as a pendant. I had thought it was a plated piece, but then it was old and likely given as a gift to my Mom from a business associate sometime in the 1960s-70s (she was a department store buyer and had business friends in Europe and later Asia that would gift her with luxury items she wouldn't buy for herself). Had it tested and it was indeed real. So we went through a few iterations of a 24K band, trying to incorporate mass and texture to make for a wearable piece that would wear well in a soft material. The CAD estimate came out over 30 grams so I added a half ounce gold medallion coin. The coin had 10% copper added so in actuality the ring came out about .96 or so and has a bit of a rose tint from the copper alloy. After casting and working it came out to 26.5 grams, which I think is a happier wearing heft than the originally estimated 32 grams. We wound up with a 9 gram overage in a little gold button, whose value in trade made an even exchange for the cost of the fabrication. All in all, a nice project and fun collaboration.

I wear the oura ring as a wedding band. It is nice because it stays charged for about 7 days and tracks you heartrate, steps and sleep cycles. Its like a dashboard for your body.
