Media Request - Sunday Express retro Christmas

Dear all

I'm a journalist for the Sunday Express (a UK based newspaper) and I'm doing a feature on Retro Christmases - am looking for three UK ladies to be case histories for 3 decades (30s, 40s, 50s) - showing how they cook in the spirit of the period (using relevant ingredients), decoration, clothes etc.

It'll be a fun, heartwarming piece and I'm happy to give copy approval (ie, not write anything you're not happy with).

Maria Anne, there was recently an unfortunate article and TV program that misrepresented some vintage ladies. For some reason, I cannot find the thread.

Yes, I'd heard about that, and seen from another board that they weren't happy - I'm not like that myself, and give copy approval for pieces I write, but I do realise that people might be cautious under the circumstances.

It would be very Christmas related though - not doing the whole 'little woman in the kitchen' angle...
