Maybe a good find?

I came accross this on eBay about one minute before it was ending.

I looked it over a sfast as I could, then went to big $10.00, and I was too late. I notice no one won it, so, I asked the seller of maybe I could make them an offer for it... I don't recognize any of the names the seller mentions, even after searching the board here. Any thoughts? Should I pursue this further? I can still back out if it looks like a bad deal. I'm DEFINATELY going to be talking to someone about replacing that band, if the hat's worth it's salt.

What you have the is a Tyrolean. It is one of those hats that remind you of the Swiss Alps or Octoberfest. If you like that sort of thing then go for it but I would shy away from it. The brand name is not one I know well at all and the hat looks to be recently made from the pictures. For $10 you could do just about anything you like with it. My concern would be the felt quality though. I am sure you could find better to start with IMHO. :cheers1:

Well, I figure any way I look at it, it's a beaver fur hat for $10, so, I think i'll go for it. If it sets on a peg on my wall, so be it, but I think i'd just kick myself for at least not checking it out.
Of course.. that band still HAS to go.
