Making a Western hat by hand?

I'm new to the forum (well especially for posting).
Here's a few Westerns that I made recently.

This first one I just finished today.
It's a 100% Nutria, Natural, with the Gus crown and a 3/4" pencil curl in the back of the brim.
This one will be my every day hat that takes whatever beating I hand it.
My goal with this one is to see how that Nutria holds up.

This one is a Western in Pecan - 100% Beaver
Cattleman crown. 4-1/8" brim.

And this one was my first.
It's a 50% Beaver/50% Rabbit Western , Natural.
