hi, I am wondering if anyone has bought tweed suits or an overcoat from make your own jeans website. If so, what were the results? Positive or negative.

This is the Indian operation? No direct experience, but a friend ordered a pair of jeans from them some years back. The quality was okay, but they messing him around on sizing. specifically, as a tall fellow, he specificed an extra-long inside leg measurement so he could get a high cuff on them. They took it upon themselves to decide he must have made a mistake, and they sent him a pair cut to a shorter length, which he couldn't put any cuff on at all..... and a letter explaining this, and inviting him to send them back - at his own expense - if he wanted a longer pair. Might not be an issue if you're looking at a suit, but worth bearing in mind.

I've never heard of them.

But of the seamstresses I've seen, they all prefer a tamplate to work on. That is, if you supply the pattern cut or a spare suit if it's possible. to leave with them, the majority of even competent tailors will get it right. If you give dimensions, the taperings of the arms; the legs; the differential tapering form rise to knee and from knee to ankle, all have the potential to go brexit on the stitching and sizing, thinking that they can go bigger and alone, and just ignore the client's instructions...
