I love when a crown is really tall like this ... you can dig it really deep and take the front of the hat beyond vertical and ever so slightly cause a reverse taper while still maintaining good height ... you can kind of see it in these pics ...

I really like that affect on some hats ... it works for this one

@moontheloon Anthony , I know I shouldn't guess , but I am ... is that a 2 5/8" Brim ? It could be 2 3/4" , but it looks just under eyeballing it . < This was on here from last night minus the psycho mumbo jumbo about dimensions and geometry ... yada yada , until I realized I was over thinking it . Brother that is NICE ! Love the Whole Thing ! Great Dimensions , that Ribbon makes it , too .

honestly none of the pics are really true ... the ribbon and felt are very close in color

it is much darker than the Whiskey

I love the Whiskey with the copper ribbon so much I have asked Michael to make me one. It is okay, I am on the west coast so we likely will not pass each other on the street!!! Michael is out of that ribbon and is trying to source similar.
How high is the crown, bashed as it is in the pic? Did it start out at 6" open?

Yeah 6" open and right around 5" in the front bashed.
These are the most perfect modern hats I own.
I have customs from other hatters that are wonderful ... but my Gannon's are the best

Your new hat looks great on you. The 6" crown just really works from what I can see in your pics. Very creative creases. The creases add eye appeal. I suspect you must get looks and comments with your proud hats.

I love the way you place your fur felts upon evergreen branches.
Especially when there is snow on them and a bit of the snow sprinkles onto the hat.

I'm not upset about the wait at all .. I'm just glad that Michael is crazy busy and I just received my brown thin ribbon which has not left my head yet

An endorsement by you (and others here) is as good as a write up in the NYT to FLs . Can't wait to see the Dark Moss .

I know I may come off as a salesman ... but I tend to get passionate about things I believe in

I do not know Michael Gannon personally outside of designing hats with him and buying them from him

I just believe that he is on to something special and want to do my part to spread the word
