I have two boys that are inseperable. It sounds like your two darlings were meant to be together forever too. I'm so sorry for your loss, because it is a huge loss. Paddy.

Jonnysan, your posting brought tears to my eyes.

I lost my dog 6 years ago and I still miss her when I go to my parents house.

You must think how lucky life they had and how lucky you and your wife are to have had them in your life.

Your cat could be my cat's stunt double!!

This is 'Tilla (short for Atilla the Fuzz), AKA Matt (because he likes to sleep in doorways). Same colors, marking, poofy fur and same blue eyes as Deckard!

MOAR CATZ PLZ :eusa_clap

I like the dogses but we need something approaching equal time. Today had some ASPCA folks on with potential adoptees - 3 puppies to one kitten. It's all rigged, you know, on tv, because there are more dog owners even tho there are more cats numerically. Then there's the rule that cats can only sell products cats use, like food and litter.

Gertie and Molly would like me to inform you that cats rule and all dogs are suckas.

Here's a picture of Gertie in her natural habitat, foraging for food. Notice the kitteh fangs, perfect for tearing apart an unsuspecting wild potato chip.

And here is Molly defending her den and fellow pride members from the evil blanket monster. The blanket monster, along with the vacuum cleaner, are the wild Molly's most feared arch nemisi.

Here Gertie is caught foraging for more food in her natural habitat:

A hard day of hunting and defending the domicile against unseen enemies can take its toll. Much rest is needed after a long days work:

Waking up from said rest, ready for another day of defending the den:

:eusa_clap teh BLUE kittehz r0xx0rz!!!!1! So playful and so much catsonality.

Years ago, before I was around, my folks had a Russian Blue called Count Sergei. (Despite the title, he was named for Eisenstein, the director, who my dad was a fan of.) They still speak with great affection of that cat, and he's been gone almost 45 years now.

Johnnysan, I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm sure they are happy together.

I'm a "dog person" at heart, but lately I've been warming up to the kitties too. I like them fat and/or furry!

I can beat that one. When my Dad was a little boy (this would have been in the late 1920's), he had a pet flying squirrel named "Chappy". He often spoke of his pet flying squirrel, and to this day the location of "Chappy's" grave is still remembered. My little grandson, who is about the same age now that my Dad was when he had the pet squirrel, will point to the spot in the flower bed under the kitchen window and say, "there's where 'Chappy' is buried."
