This is Dusty, rescued 3 years ago as a tiny bundle of wool covered in sawdust (hence the name), in no time at all he grew into a giant, but is wise enough not to pick a fight with the cat, having found out the hard way. He is 50% Labrador, 50% Alsatian, 100% Clown.

Hey! I've finished gnawing on the dining room table legs, now let's go play!

This is Oggie - a rescue who was in a shelter for 3 months (he didn't have to make that "final walk" because the shelter workers thought he was so cool) and has been with me for 18-months. He's a red merle Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd mix and is just as happy as he looks. I love him like crazy and he's so much fun to have around.

I picked her up Saturday night on my way home from work, and this is how she has spent most of the weekend. OK, it's how we have spent most of the weekend.

He is virtually feral despite being a house cat. One can't pet him without him going to bite, that is just about all he does, he jumped out the window the other day, knocked over my contrabass, and isn't afraid of water (he will jump into the bathtub when you put the water on).

Sorry for your loss.

I hope this may make you feel a little better.

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...
