My mom just called to tell me that they had their dog put to sleep this morning. Deveraux was a black lab mix. She was about eight years old. The vet said that she had cancer, and that it had spread all over her body. I can't believe that she's gone. As I can't have pets of my own, she was the closest thing I had to my own dog.

She was a good dog. I still called her puppy - even after all these years. She would prance around whenever she saw me, wanting treats and to be petted.
When dad would go out to mow the lawn, she would go with him, because she needed to "go to work".

I took some photos of her this summer and did a scrapbook page of them.

Goodbye, puppy. Run fast forever!

Her name is "Bella"...She's now a 7 month old female Brindle Boxer.
Although she was only about 5 1/2 or 6 mos. old in this one.....

I just noticed these pictures now, and she is gorgeous! That butterfly picture is adorable. Boxers are wonderful dogs!

I always enjoy seeing pictures of everyone's pets, especially Absinthe 1900's little Imp. He looks so huggable. Can you believe that sometimes when I'm out with a Pug or four passersby ask me if they are Boxers?
