This is my first review after a long time lurking in the group. I’ve been genuinely impressed with Lostworld through many posts here turned into a strong desire to own one and experience it for myself
The jacket I’m wearing is the LW 70’s Highway Patrol Leather Jacket, a repro piece inspired by 70's American highway police jackets, you can clearly see the badge mounting holes on the chest, staying true to the original design.
My first impression is that stuff runs quite roomy. Even though the tag says size 38 feels more like a 40, maybe even a 42. The leather is extremely thick and heavy around 4+ oz. This might be the thickest leather jacket I’ve ever owned. The leather has a matte black finish, not glossy like Shinki horsehide. It feels raw, dense, and very serious.
The lining is nylon satin durable, but slightly stiff. Hardware is impressive as well, featuring a heavyduty 2 way Talon zipper and two inner pockets. The sleeves are noticeably wide, possibly designed to accommodate thick gloves, which makes sense given the jacket’s original purpose.
Overall, my experience with this jacket has been positive. It feels incredibly solid and rugged but comfortable to wear cause movement isn’t restricted, unlike many Japanese leather jackets with very narrow sleeves. It’s stiff but in a reassuring, confidence inspiring way.
Now I’m just debating what to attach to the badge holes… because where I live, wearing anything resembling a police badge could get you into serious trouble lol
